Mr. Flip

Published 1909

As thin on plot as you tend to expect early one-reel comedies to be, Mr. Flip is about as lean as you'll find. Director 'Bronco Billy' Anderson and actor Ben Turpin had some evolving to do and were in early experimental stages. Some trivia: In the final scene, Turpin receives what is generally believed to be the first "pie-in-the-face."
